Allopathic Certification Track

Essentials of the Certification Process for the following Licensed Professions

Medical Doctors • Osteopathic Doctors • Dentists
Nurse Practitioners • Physician Assistants

Prerequisites
  • License to practice in your field of medicine in at least one state in the United States
  • At least 350 hours of homeopathic education/training
  • At least two years of homeopathic practice
  • At least two letters of reference from a member of the American Board of Homeopathic Medicine or the American Institute of Homeopathy or well-known teachers of homeopathic medicine.
Certification Process

PART 1

 Two Written Exams

  1. Multiple-choice questions about the Organon, materia medica, case management and pharmacy
  2. Questions and written answers demonstrating competence in the use of the repertory

A score of 70 is required for passing each exam.


PART 2

Submission of 10 Cured Cases (5 for chronic ailments and 5 for acute ailments) no later than 6 months after passing the written exams.

Requirements for Cases of Chronic Ailments

Cases must include the following:

  • Complete Medical history
  • Physical exam
  • Complete Homeopathic Case-taking (including, if present, significant mental-emotional symptoms, etiology, physical symptoms and signs, generalities, concomitants, modalities, sensations)
  • Initial repertorization and subsequent repertorizations (if needed)
  • Differential diagnosis with at least 2 other remedies
  • Treatment and follow-up for at least one year (ideally for 2-3 years)

Requirements for Cases of Acute Ailments

Cases must include the following:

  • Limited medical history (as needed)
  • Limited physical exam (as needed)
  • Homeopathic case-taking
  • Repertorization
  • Differential diagnosis with at least 2 other remedies
  • Treatment and follow-up
